Hotel Information

The Ambasciatori Palace hotel of Rome, known as the Ambassador's Palace, is one of the most luxurious hotels built in the 1900's to host diplomats of the nearby vicinities. The hotel is located on Via Veneto, one of the most famous and exclusive streets of Rome, rich with elegant boutiques, prestigious restaurants and open cafes. The palace is in a refined atmosphere with granite columns, marble and mosaic pavements. It is the ideal location for business meetings and reunions because of its modern technological equipment. The hotel rooms offer the best amenities and we guarantee your stay will be relaxing and enjoyable.

Known in the early 1900s as the “Palace of the Ambasciatori” it had been conceived as an hotel for diplomats from the nearby embassies. Ambasciatori Palace Hotel of Rome is an historic building on the Via Veneto, one of the world’s most famous streets.

This elegant avenue meanders through a former agricultural estate which was purchased and redesigned at the start of the 17th century by Cardinal Prince Ludovico Ludovisi who turned it into one of the most handsome and luxurious districts in the city. Designed by the well-known architect Carlo Busiri Vici the Ambasciatori Palace Hotel, which celebrated its first hundred years in 2005, was built between 1900 and 1905.

From 1993 to 2001 the building underwent restoration which not only modernized it but at the same time brought it back to its former early 20th-century splendour.

The ancient stuccowork on the cornices, the ceilings, the arches and capitals, the Brazilian granite columns, marble and polychrome mosaic floors, and the intricate wrought-iron balustrade of the main staircase were all returned to their original magnificence.

152 rooms including 75 Classic, 36 Superior, 30 Deluxe, 10 Suites and 1 Ambassador Suite.

The elegantly furnished and upholstered rooms have all comforts. There are many special touches such as marble fireplaces, Murano lamps and period furnishings. Most of the rooms are larger than those in similar category properties and many have parquet floors, bathrooms with natural light, large bath tubs and Jacuzzis.

One of the main attractions of the Ambasciatori Palace Hotel is the “La Terrazza” restaurant, which since the Twenties and still today has been a favourite with a gourmet clientele.

This intimate and elegant restaurant on the first floor of the hotel opens onto a large terrace overlooking Via Veneto which, during the warm months, becomes an ideal choice for alfresco dining.

The refined menu with Italian and international specialities, is much appreciated by regular clients and by lovers of fine food who are just passing through.

And, for a relaxing evening in the hotel, The Embassy bar stays open until late and is the ideal place in which to enjoy cocktails and drinks, while the piano bar creates a delightfully relaxed atmosphere.
